NTV is the first news channel of Turkey, founded by Cavit Çağlar in 1996. NTV, which changed the Turkish media industry with the success it achieved by joining Doğuş Broadcasting Group in January 1999, started the thematic channel period in Turkey. NTV also broadcasts programs focusing on economy, culture-art, life and sports, especially national and international news.
