Antena 1 is a private commercial television channel in Romania. It was launched in 1993 as a regional television broadcasting in Bucharest and its surrounding areas. From 1998, Antena 1 rebranded as a national channel. In 2012, Antena 1 was the second most-watched television channel in Romania after Pro TV, holding a market share of 16.8%. Antena 1 is a generalist channel that broadcasts news journals, entertainment shows, movies, and series from both domestic and international markets, as well as sports broadcasts (until 2013, but it will also broadcast football from 2022). Since November 10, 2010, the channel is no longer received in the Republic of Moldova. From November 28, 2016, the HD version of the channel was launched, along with the other channels of the Intact group. Antena 1 live and the channel's shows can be watched online on the AntenaPlay platform.
