North-western Greece channel was founded in 1990 and started operating as a limited company in 1992. Its signal broadcasts in the prefectures of Achaia, Ilia, Aitoloakarnania, Arta, Preveza, Thesprotia, Ioannina and the Ionian Islands. The large population range that covers television has led to high ratings. As it goes without saying, it took its name from the river Acheloos. It showcases information shows with political, social, agricultural, cultural and sports themes, music programs and films.
