Bashkortostan TV and Radio Company is the state media holding of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Over the years of its existence, it has been successfully developing and includes six media resources. The state Unitary Enterprise Broadcasting Company "Bashkortostan" was established in 2001. And before that, there was a Bashkir television studio with regular broadcasts that began airing on March 1, 1959. In 1991, the first live talk shows with the participation of viewers appeared. In August 2002, the 18-hour Republican satellite TV channel "BST" began operation. The channel is constantly expanding its broadcasting range, and since May 1, 2013 it has become round-the-clock.
