The best of the Chilevisión TV channel. Chilevisión is a privately owned Chilean free-to-air television channel that is considered the third oldest television network in the country. Previously called Canal 9 de Televisión de la Universidad de Chile (for its original frequency from November 4, 1960 to April 21, 1980), Corporación de Televisión de la Universidad de Chile, Canal 6 (temporary frequency from June 16 to September 9, 1973, the date on which the University of Chile regained Channel 9), Teleonce (1980-1983), Universidad de Chile Televisión (1983-1991) and RTU (Universidad de Chile Television Network) (1991-1993), it was controlled by the University of Chile until the end of 1993, the year in which it was transferred to comodato for 25 years to the Cisneros Group, of Venezuelan origin and controllers of the Venevisión network
