DIGI Sport 1/2/3/4 are television channels owned by the RCS & RDS consortium. The television broadcast started on July 23, 2009, with the airing of the football match between Újpest FC and Steaua Bucharest at 20:45. On the same date, the second version of the channel, DIGI Sport Plus, was also launched. From June 1, 2010, the HD version was introduced, named DIGI Sport HD. In June 2011, the sports channels of DIGI Romania were named DIGI Sport 1 and DIGI Sport 2, and on August 27, 2011, DIGI Sport 3 was launched. In 2012, the portfolio of the company led by Zoltan Teszari expanded with another HD channel - DIGI Sport 2 HD. Starting from May 12, 2015, the third HD channel was launched - DIGI Sport 3 HD. On October 1, 2015, the fourth channel - DIGI Sport 4 was launched, and it received an HD version on October 14, 2017.
