The channel went on the air on 1. november 2009 and broadcasts from 16: 00 to 24: 00 every day, all year round. DR K is broadcast in MPEG-4 format on the digital broadcast network as well as digital and analogue on YouSee cable television. 278,000 saw DR K 1. november 2009.
