The Radio Televisión Canaria (RTVC) is an autonomous public television and radio entity dependent on the Government of the Canary Islands (Canary Islands, Spain), whose main headquarters is located in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Board of Directors is composed of eight members who are elected at the beginning of each legislative term. The presidency of the Council is purely formal and is exercised on a rotating basis every six months. Its functions, among others, are; the planning of action; the own production that must be issued annually; or the approval of the preliminary draft budget of the public entity and its companies.
