TRT 1 is Turkey's first national television channel broadcasting nationwide. Its main building is located in Ankara. The first logo of the channel is the TRT logo designed in plain writing. It is the second television channel opened in Turkey and the first national television channel. (The first channel opened, ITU TV, was transferred to TRT in 1971.) The first general manager was Adnan Öztrak on April 29, 1964.
