TV 2 News is Denmark's first nationwide 24-hour news channel, and the 5th. channel of the company TV 2 Denmark.
The launch of the channel, which had the Working Title TV 2 Nyhedskanalen, was announced in May 2006 in august of the same year, then deputy head of TV 2 Nyheteren Mikkel Hertz was appointed head of TV 2 NEWS. TV 2's head of News Michael dyrby, who has both overall responsibility for TV 2 Nyheterene and TV 2 News, is also part of the Chief group for the channel. The channel can be seen in many different antenna associations, at Boxer, Viasat and Canal Digital and YouSee. If you are a cable TV customer at Stofa, you can also vote NEWS into your program package. NEWS is streamed on sputnik.tv2.dk, via the iPhone app and as mobile tv at TDC, 3 and Telenor.
