TV Midtvest is a regional television station under TV 2 based in Holstebro and broadcasts regional news and current affairs programmes in the former Ringkøbing and Viborg counties.
TV Midwest was formally established on 1. november 1988 and aired its first broadcast 1. October 1989. In the beginning, the TV station's Director Ivar Brændgaard had an office at amtsgården in Viborg, while it was investigated where the headquarters should be located.
