TVR - Rennes 35 Bretagne is a French local television channel born in March 1987 under the name of TV Rennes. Inaugurated at its launch by the President of the Republic, it was the first local television created in France. According to Médiamétrie, with an average of almost 50,000 viewers, TVR is, as of 2014, the most watched French local channel on a daily basis, in proportion to the number of inhabitants of its broadcast area (the highest penetration rate in France for a local television channel with 6%)
