TV 25 - was founded on June 15, 1993. Television started broadcasting with household equipment. In 1995-1996, the material, technical and creative potential of TV 25 was significantly improved as a result of the assistance of the "Intersius" Foundation and the Georgian Television Network. The long-term efforts of the government of Adjara at that time to take the reins of television management from the founders always ended in vain.
That is why, on February 19, 2000, the employees of the security service forcefully gave the control package of the shares of the TV company to the managers of "TV 25", after which the TV was directly owned by the head of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Aslan Abashidze. The multi-year court dispute was only ended by the Adjara revolution, when the founders, who were forcibly relocated from Batumi to Tbilisi, got back the property that had been seized for four years.
At this stage, the television continues to work as usual, equipped with digital equipment. From 2004 until today, the news program "Matsne" is prepared every day, which reviews the current events in Adjara and the country.
