The Open Channel Wettin has its roots in the working group "AG Videofilmen" of the youth club Wettin e.V. The former youth club became the association "Das Nest e.V." in 2003. As the sponsoring association of the youth and media Center "Das Nest", it has been hosting the Open Channel Wettin since 1999.
