Channel 12 of El Salvador was born on December 15, 1984, under the entrepreneurial gaze of Felix Castillo Mayorga, which a year later would be acquired by the renowned Salvadoran businessman Jorge "Koki" Emilio Zedán. In 1997 TV Azteca became a majority shareholder and in 2003 it was part of the company As Media based in Mexico. Since 2015 it was acquired by the Albavisión group, with more than 23 television and radio stations in 22 countries.
