Cuatro is a national generalist television network, in which entertainment, quality and innovation prevail. Cuatro is a Spanish state-owned private television channel, operated by Mediaset España Comunicación— a group owned by the Italian company Mediaset (46.17%), which has a general programming dedicated to a young audience, where it mainly offers foreign fiction series and programs of its own production, as well as sports, magazines and informative spaces. Since January 2011, after the merger with Telecinco, its broadcasting center was transferred to the Mediaset facilities in the Madrid neighborhood of Fuencarral. Its main competitor is the generalist channel La Sexta, owned by Atresmedia Corporación.
