Arabic April 4, 2010, TRT Arabi, TRT's Arabic-language channel, which began broadcasting on April 2010. TRT intends to address a geography with a population of 350 million with its Arabic broadcast. The coordinator of the channel, Sefer Turan, explained that TRT aims to eliminate the political curiosity that has been generated in the Arab world towards Turkey in recent years with this channel.
