W9 is a private French national generalist television channel with a musical and entertainment vocation. It has existed since March 31, 2005 at the same time as French TNT. The channel is available on freeview, cable, satellite and xDSL television. It belongs to the M6 Group, which has as its majority shareholder RTL Group, itself under the control of the German company Bertelsmann, belonging to the Mohn family.
